Dave Atkinson

Dave Atkinson was born in a hospital, raised by humans and educated by disinterested Catholics in Marathon, Ontario, a mining and pulp town once described as “there” by many geographers.

After graduating high school he stowed away on a CN boxcar and made his way to the city where he did a whole bunch of book learnin’ and started telling jokes to strangers in basements.

There were also stints at a national park, gold mine, and lumber yard in there somewhere. He has also been in some plays and published some short stories and started eating salad. His Dad is, to say the least, confused.

Ben Miner

Ben Miner has been a stand-up for nearly half his life. He’s toured coast to coast, having made stops at just about every club in Canada as well as festivals such as Just for Laughs in Montreal, The Vancouver Comedy Fest and NXNE in Toronto. When he’s not on stage Ben is still behind a mic as the host of Comic Stripped on SiriusXM’s Canada Laughs with guests who’ve included Cheech & Chong, the cast of Family Guy, Eugene Levy and many more.

Ben’s also worked with heavy-hitters Lewis Black, Russell Peters and Jim Jefferies. And if Ben just looks familiar to you then you probably watched him on the first season of Masterchef Canada where he made the top 16.

Brian Stollery

Brian Stollery rarely waits more than a heartbeat before inviting his audiences to have a laugh at his expense. Observational, autobiographical and hilariously self-deprecating, Brian Stollery’s brand of comedy reveals the underlying absurdity of everyday life in a way that is as scathingly honest as it is fast paced and energetic.

Mr. Stollery has spent more than twenty years mining the stuff of everyday life for laughs in a way that is universal and unique. His quick-witted delivery covers a variety of topics flowing effortlessly from one bit to another. Brian’s material is current, ensuring he covers the latest trends and events both from his life and the world. His clever word play and witty commentary on life delights audiences wherever he performs.

Brian Stollery has performed at festivals including the ‘CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival’ and ‘Global Comedyfest’ in Vancouver and he was the first winner of SiriusXM’s “Canada’s Top Comic!” competition.

Bruce both writes and stars in it.

Bruce has written and/or directed several films including Dog Park starring Luke Wilson, Superstar starring Molly Shannon and Will Ferrell, Stealing Harvard starring Jason Lee and Leslie Mann and Comeback Season starring Ray Liotta. Bruce has also recently acted in episodes of Workaholics and the new season of Arrested Development. His first book, “Let’s Start a Riot” was released by Harper Collins in Fall of 2014.

“Tales of Bravery and Stupidity” is a one man show that is funny and at times touching.  Part stand up, part storytelling it looks at some of the bravely stupid things that Bruce has done, and things we all do as we get ourselves in and out of trouble as we “throw ourselves at life.”

Derek Seguin

Montreal-based Derek Seguin is one of the most sought after stand up comedians on the international circuit. He has performed at the prestigious invitation-only Just For Laughs festival an impressive 10 times as well as appearing numerous times at every other major festival in the country, making several television appearances along the way.

In 2015, GQ Magazine’s Comedy Editor reported about JFL that: “Montreal-comic Derek Seguin stole one of the most star-studded gala shows last year from host Whitney Cummings. This year, he appeared in The Nasty Show and proceeded to steal that too. A true star and Montreal’s pride and joy.”

The Montreal Gazette enthused that: “Derek Seguin earned a standing ovation for his set during the ninth Just for Laughs gala … had me gasping for air, I was laughing so hard at the detailing of his second date with his Newfoundland girlfriend. … What made it great, however, was not the boldness of his material but that he described it all in such childlike wonder. Brilliant.”

He has also appeared on CBC Radio’s, “The Debaters” more than thirty times and is one of the show’s fan favourites.

Undeniably one of Canada’s hottest comedians, he fittingly walked away with the top prize of Sirius XM’s Canada’s Top Comic competition in 2015; a contest that spanned the entire country with finalists from every major city.

Ted Morris

Ted Morris always looks like he’s having the most fun in the room when he’s on stage. His intelligent, off-beat humour and wickedly charming smile lets us all know that our slightly warped thoughts are just fine.

He’s equal parts boy-next-door and boy-your-mother-warned-you-about with just enough boy-you-want-to-hang-out-with-at-the-party-to-laugh-at-everyone-else-with (and know you’re safe!) to keep things interesting.

Born in Ottawa and now making his home in Toronto, Ted discovered his love of stand-up while getting his degree in veterinary medicine. While he still spends some time working as small animal vet, his comedy career is taking off and he has found that it’s much more gratifying to “kill” on stage. He’s been called “fresh faced and hilarious” and “a real gem” by Now Magazine, and slightly ruder things by strangers in the street.

Ted currently tours Canada working for Yuk Yuk’s, the largest chain of comedy clubs in the country. A favourite of the festival circuit, he has performed at the “We’re Funny That Way” (Toronto), London, Halifax,  Winnipeg, Glasgow, Sudbury, Out of Bounds (Austin, Texas), Laughing Devil (Atlanta, Georgia), North Carolina Comedy Arts, NXNE (Toronto) and JFL42 (Toronto) Comedy Festivals, and can be heard around the world on SiriusXM and CBC Radio’s The Debaters and LOL.
